Today, Eighth Congressional District Candidate Tammy Duckworth took part in a Schaumburg Business Association forum that also included her opponent Joe Walsh. Jim Slusher of the Daily Herald Editorial Board asked Duckworth about her views on the economy and budget, healthcare, and gridlock in Washington.
"Government needs to find new and creative ways to help businesses succeed and create jobs," said Duckworth. "I support tax credits for American businesses that keep jobs right here in America and that hire those who have been unemployed for more than six months."
Duckworth has already held a series of small business roundtables throughout the Eighth District. Later today, she will hold a forum on higher education at the College of DuPage and meet with Seniors in Bloomingdale.
