Immigration Reform

Location: Unknown

Last night, when responding to a question on Univision, President Obama called inaction on immigration reform the "biggest failure" of his first term. As my statements and actions have made clear during President Obama's first term, I do believe he should have done more to fight for comprehensive immigration reform. President Obama's statement suggests to me that we will see real leadership during his second term and I look forward to standing with him to make comprehensive immigration reform a national priority. President Obama may have said that inaction on immigration reform was his "biggest failure," but the Republicans will soon understand that their obstruction and wrong-headedness on immigration was their greatest error. Election Day will be a turning point and significant immigration reform is possible during President Obama's second term.
