Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) joined the House of Representatives in supporting H.R. 2903, the FEMA Reauthorization Act. This bill ensures that FEMA will remain funded for the Hurricane Isaac aftermath and future disasters.
"Louisianans know how vital FEMA is following hurricanes. This bill ensures it remains fully funded and operational. It also modernizes the agency, including eliminating onerous regulations, implementing cost-saving measures and shortening the appeals process for assistance. These measures will help FEMA be ready for any natural disaster."
