Recently the House Science Committee discovered that the National Weather Service, while not using government funds for personal gain, was misappropriating money- at the risk of leaving Americans in the dark about severe weather events. Along with other members of the committee, I raised some questions of accountability with the expert witnesses who came to testify this week.
