Issue Position

I am a strong proponent of the Dept of Natural Resources. We need an agency to protect and guard our precious natural resources here in Northern Wisconsin, however, I believe that in recent years there has been over regulation by certain divisions within the DNR. This has resulted in increased friction between private land owners, developers and private citizens, as well as outdoor enthusiasts. We need a common sense approach to the stewardship of our land and water resources.
I would support the formation of an accountability board in the state assembly to oversee and approve or disapprove any new regulations or changes in the law proposed by the Dept of Natural Resources.
