Representative James Lankford (R-OK) issued the following somber statement of remembrance, prayer and support for the many victims and families impacted by the attacks eleven years ago on New York City, the Pentagon and the passengers of United Airlines Flight 93 that crashed over Shanksville, PA.
"September 11th will always be a significant date in the American story," said Representative Lankford. "Today, we pause as a nation to remember the unexplainable horror of that day and the incredible sacrifice of the first responders and military service members who demonstrated the true American spirit in the face of adversity. Today, my family will join millions of others, as we pray for those affected by this difficult anniversary. As we all work to protect our nation's future, I hope we never forget her past."
