Issue Position

Property rights are among our most sacred individual liberties in the United States. High property taxes result in many people losing their ability to enjoy their land to the fullest. It also forces many senior citizens living on a fixed income to sell their property. I have worked for five sessions to reduce the property tax burden on Texans, reduce government spending at all levels, and create a more transparent property tax system. There is still much to do, but I am committed to reducing property taxes in Texas so that individuals can achieve the American dream of truly owning their own property and homes.
