U.S. Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today warned about the risks posed by perceived space between the United States and Israel over how to deal with Iran's nuclear program. The perception that the U.S. will not act militarily, if necessary, may push Israel toward a military response with Iran before all other options have been exhausted.
"I fear that President Obama's lack of clarity on Iran may be prematurely stoking another war in the Middle East, so I urge him to ensure there is a clear agreement with Israel over when and how to respond to Iran's nuclear program," Corker said. "While our capabilities give us more time, Israel has fewer capabilities and sees their window closing far more quickly."
