Daylin has been a leader on protecting women's health. He introduced the first bill which provided state funds for breast and ovarian cancer screening for women who cannot afford it. He is also the author and prime-sponsor of Pennsylvania's Contraception Equity Act which requires insurance companies that provide coverage for male reproductive services to cover female contraception as well.

Daylin led the fight against Senate Bill 3 which would prohibit women from purchasing reproductive health coverage from health insurance companies, even with their own money, and Act 122 which is aimed at closing women's reproductive health centers and denying women their constitutionally protected access to reproductive health care.

"As a son, husband, and father of a young girl, I am absolutely committed to ensuring that women are free to make their own decisions about their own lives, and have access to the care they need no matter what their economic circumstances might be," says Daylin. He added, "it's long past time we stop treating women's health as an afterthought."
