After voting in favor of the Lee Amendment to End Fighting in Afghanistan, Congressman Richard E. Neal released the following statement.

"We cannot afford continued commitments in foreign military theatres. We need to start investing in America again; instead of blank checks being spent in the Middle East, we can invest in rebuilding America's infrastructure to put people back to work. After more than 10 years in Iraq and Afghanistan we have created over one million new veterans, many of which will be in our care for the next 50 years- these brave men and women served us honorably and they deserve our care."
