Today Congressman Jon Runyan issued the following statement regarding the 11th Anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks.
"Today we remember all of the men and women who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington DC, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001. The nation as a whole suffered a great loss that day, but we came out of the ashes and rubble stronger and more united. As all Americans and our friends around the world pause in remembrance of the lives that were lost that day, let us also recall the unity that also emerged as we all renewed our commitment to protecting freedom in the United States and around the world. Today we will not just remember the men and women who lost their lives, but celebrate the lives they led and everything that unites this great nation."
