Today, U.S. Rep. Gary Peters issued the following statement to mark the anniversary of September 11th.

"Today we commemorate and honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent victims who died on that terrible Tuesday morning eleven years ago. From the ashes of that day, America arose as a stronger, more united nation. To honor the lives lost, let us recommit ourselves to the spirit of unity and service that brought our nation together in the days and weeks following 9/11."
