Rodney Davis, Republican nominee for the 13th Congressional District of Illinois, issued the following statement following Governor Mitt Romney's speech Thursday at the Republican National Convention:
"This election is about our economy. This election is about giving small business owners the certainty to create jobs through low taxes and reduced regulation. Tonight, Governor Romney laid out a vision for creating jobs, keeping taxes low, cutting spending, and reducing our national debt. I also believe in the importance of repealing and replacing Obamacare, which adds $2.6 trillion in spending, raises taxes, and cuts $700 billion from Medicare services from seniors. These are the issues resonating with voters here in Central and Southwest Illinois. I look forward to continue to discuss those issues and working with President Romney when I'm elected to Congress."
