Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement marking the eleventh anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001:
"Eleven years after the Pentagon and the World Trade Center were struck by radical Islamic terrorists, Americans remember the acts of heroism and sacrifice that occurred in the aftermath. The agony of those who have lost loved ones in the war on terror continues to be felt every single day. From New York City, Washington, D.C. and a grassy field in Pennsylvania to the sands of Iraq and Afghanistan, the lives of those we've lost have not been forgotten. Today, let us reflect on the courage of our fellow citizens and our men and women in uniform, and honor all those who have and continue to stand on the front lines, fighting to keep us safe."
