U.S. Congressman John Barrow (GA-12) today released his third television ad in his re-election campaign. The new ad, "Institute," will begin running throughout the 12th District today. In the ad, Congressman Barrow highlights his efforts to balance the federal budget by cutting government waste and reducing federal spending.

Congressman Barrow has voted for over $2 trillion in cuts to federal spending and has been a leader in the fight for Congress to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution. He has introduced legislation to reduce funding for the federal vehicle fleet by 20 percent, which will save $500 million in deficit spending.

"This week, our nation's debt reached a new high, $16 trillion," said Congressman Barrow. "We can't continue down this path. I've voted to cut over $2 trillion in deficit spending and fought to balance the federal budget. These are serious times, and politicians like Lee Anderson don't bring any new ideas to the table other than a widely discredited plan to cut Medicare. I won't let that happen."
