Issue Position

I've made a promise to the people of northern New Mexico. I refuse to raise taxes on working families and small business owners because the federal government is wasting so much of your money already. Unless Congress can show that they can be more responsible with your hard earned money, I don't think we should give them any more to spend than they get from us already.

I believe our tax code should be fairer to working class New Mexicans and easier to understand. I support closing loopholes and allowing businesses to repatriate their money back into America to create new jobs. By lowering taxes on working families, you can spend more of your money on things you need to take care of your family. By keeping taxes low on small businesses, they can begin to grow and hire more people. Keeping taxes low means we can put more New Mexicans back to work again.
