Kurt Bills has a bone to pick with the planners of the DNC convention: "I, for one, don't think any of us belong to government," said Bills. "Government belongs to us."

The Democrat Party played a video to the convention delegates from the host committee in which the virtues of government were celebrated. The punch line: "Government is the only thing we all belong to."

The Obama campaign has tried to distance itself from the video, noting that the convention host committee and not their campaign produced it. "We didn't build that," they appear to be saying, although they have yet to reject the underlying argument.

"Government is not a community. It is not a family, a church, or a club. It is not something anybody belongs to. The whole point of the Constitution was to limit government and put it in its place. Democrats have decided instead that government is at the center of our communities and our economy. That's just wrong," said Bills.

"I have said all along that this campaign is about America vs. Washington DC. The Democrats appear to agree, and have chosen their side. Does Klobuchar agree with Washington, or us?" Bills asked.
