Date: Aug. 10, 2012
Location: Phoenix, AZ

Kyrsten Sinema, candidate for Congress in Arizona's new 9th District, released her Arizona Jobs Plan today, calling on Congress to "get to work so that we can get our economy growing again."

The plan, available here, is built on twelve broad planks of Congressional action, which would lead to greater stability and spur job creation for the long term.

"Congress needs to wake up and get to work." said Sinema, who has been recognized for her work supporting small business and high-tech business in the Arizona legislature. "Instead, they just adjourned without passing a budget."

The plan includes:

Keeping taxes low for working and middle class families, while letting the Bush tax cuts expire for the richest two percent
Making the Research and Development tax credit permanent
Passing tax credits for companies that hire veterans
Restoring the Glass-Steagall Act to ensure that the financial services industry does not cause another economic crisis
