Matt Salmon, former Congressman and candidate for Arizona's 5th congressional district, today launched his latest television advertisement titled, "Budget." The commercial highlights Salmon's proven track record of taking on big-spending politicians to cut spending and balance the first federal budget in over a generation.
Congressman Salmon was rated a "Watchdog of the Treasury" each of his six years in Congress, and earned the "Taxpayer Hero Award" for his proven voting record of reducing government spending.
"Balancing the budget and reducing spending will be my top priorities in Congress," stated former Congressman Salmon. "We cannot afford to wait another minute or settle for plans that will eventually decrease our deficits. We face a tidal wave of debt that has eroded economic confidence and hindered opportunities for prosperity for our next generations. We must cut spending immediately and get our financial house in order now. I did it before, and I can do it again."
They said the budget couldn't be balanced, that the problem was just too big.
But we forced the career politicians to make tough decisions.
Led by example.
Cut spending and balanced the budget for the first time in 50 years.
I'm Matt Salmon and I approve this message because I've balanced the budget once, and I'll do it again.
And that's why I'm running for Congress.
Matt Salmon will balance the budget, rein in government and defend our conservative values.
Conservative for Congress.
