Democratic Congressional Candidate Dan Maffei called on Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle to abandon her support for the Ryan Budget today, and urged her to instead support smart infrastructure investment in Central New York, including high speed rail.
"We need to balance the budget, but we need to do it the right way. Not on the backs of the middle class and small business owners who need safe and reliable infrastructure to make a living. Not only did Congresswoman Buerkle vote for the Ryan Budget and its massive cuts to transportation, but she also rejects high speed rail, and other transportation infrastructure investment that would spur economic development, and create jobs here in Central New York". said Maffei. "We need to make smart investments in infrastructure that will put people to work, and get the economy moving again."
