Following Congressman Bishop's attempts to deflect blame for his own ethics problems, Randy Altschuler sent Bishop the following letter today:
In the letter Altschuler charges: "if you are so convinced that you and your staff did not violate House Ethics rules and are certain you will be exonerated, I challenge you to publicly call for an official ethics investigation into the activities of you and your staff in regards to the fundraising email solicitation sent to Mr. Semler while his fireworks permits hung in the balance."
As Bishop brushes off his unethical actions as "unfounded attacks on my character and my family" Altschuler calls for Suffolk County voters to hear the truth.
"Let's face it; the very serious allegations in the Politico story are part of a larger pattern of abuse by you when it comes to ethics.
Beginning at Southampton College and continuing in Congress, you have consistently used your power to line the pockets of family and friends, while demonstrating a startling inability to determine what passes the smell test and what doesn't."
This unethical campaign donation is only the latest in a string of problems Bishop finds himself in.
