Congressman Mike Turner has earned the endorsement of the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA). The OSMA represents 20,000 physician, resident and medical student members.
"With Obamacare set to significantly impact our medical industry and especially our current and future physicians, I look forward to working with them to ensure the patient-doctor relationship remains strong and unbroken. Having voted against Obamacare and to repeal this onerous legislation, the endorsement of OSMA with 20,000 members across Ohio, shows their confidence in my work in Congress," said Turner.
"Ohio physicians face a myriad of issues, including managed care reform, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, including finding a permanent fix to the flawed Medicare Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) formula, scope of practice, medical liability concerns, public health issues and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. We look forward to working with [Congressman Turner] on these and other important health care policy issues after the November election," stated senior OSMA leaders in a letter endorsing Turner.
