Democratic Congressional Nominee Michelle Lujan Grisham released the following statement today in response to Mitt Romney's choice of Paul Ryan as his running mate:
"Mitt Romney's choice of Congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate shows his disregard for New Mexico's middle class families and seniors. Ryan wants to end Medicare as we know it and raise interest rates on college loans in order to give huge tax breaks to millionaires, Big Oil, and corporations that ship American jobs overseas. When I get to Congress, I will always stand with middle class families and fight against cuts to Medicare and Social Security."
