I was disappointed that the Southwest Corridor LRT (that would be built in the southwestern corridor of the metropolitan area) was left out of the bonding bill. The corridor and construction would provide thousands of jobs and link up with existing transit corridors to reduce our dependence on the automobile.

Given that this wasn't a budget year, the Omnibus Transportation bill was fairly straight-forwarded. I was pleased that a bill I chief-authored on electric bicycles became law, removing unneeded regulations. E-bicycles are an innovative means for transportation and enjoyment on our roads and trails.
