Issue Position

Dr. Goodale supports a role for government that vigorously promotes education. Education is one of our most important investments. We need an approach towards K-12 Education that empowers the teachers in the classroom rather than the politicians and bureaucrats. The last thing we should be doing is cutting the salaries or health care of teachers, or we'll drive the best and brightest away from teaching our kids. For Higher Education, we need public policy that will contain its spiraling costs and address the problem of burgeoning student loan debt.
