I believe government has an important, but limited, role in meeting our needs and wants. Government cannot and should not do it all! We should judge our government on how it helps people achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency and independence -- not on how many it makes dependent on increasignly unsustainable public programs. We have been making promises we cannot keep with money we do not have for too long! Even as our economy struggles to recover, we must insist government live within its means just like our families and main street job creators. I will continue working for fiscal responsibility, holding down taxes and reforming government.
