As a member of the Health Care Access Committee, Rep. Berman advocated for measures to fight insurance fraud . Representative Berman has opposed cuts to medical providers who serve seniors and the neediest and opposed the insertion of insurance companies into doctor-patient decisions.
Lori is a strong advocate for children's healthcare and sponsored successful legislation that requires that a dentist be included on the Healthy Kids board. Lori strongly supports preventative care measures and supports legislation that promotes disease awareness. Lori also supported legislation that addressed the issues of aging, including creation of an alzheimer's task force.
