Alaska needs to develop low cost sustainable energy and Fairbanks needs to benefit from it. I pay electric bills for three offices and my home. Do I have an interest in developing low cost energy? I certainly do. Hardworking Fairbanks families are struggling with the high cost of fuel and electricity. Alaska needs affordable energy and a plan that will provide for cost effective heat and power for all Alaskan homes and businesses. The availability of low cost energy is certain to be a stimulus for economic growth. Abundant energy at a reasonable cost will provide the heat and power to make Value Added resource development practical and possible in Alaska. Alaska has options and I will encourage and support legislation that will develop these options, it's time.
