Our tax system as it is today punishes success. We are asked to believe that there is a class of people that do not exist. They make the magical $250,000 a year. The popular belief is that if we take it from them it doesn't matter to the rest of us. But who are they really? The largest majority of them are the men and women that own small businesses. In rural Minnesota if you are not a small business owner, you probably work for one. If taxes are raised on these small business owners, it will mean more job losses in Minnesota. Let's not get pushed into a discussion on the best way to raise taxes, let's lower them across the board.
