State Treasurer and U.S. Senate Candidate Richard Mourdock was endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce today in the Senate race over Democrat Congressman Joe Donnelly.
"I appreciate the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce because they represent the interests of three million businesses of every size, sector and region," explained Treasurer Mourdock. "They know the pulse of the business community and the state of the U.S. economy."
The President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Tom Donohue announced the organization's endorsement of Mourdock by stating, "We believe that your election to the U.S. Senate will help produce sustained economic growth, help create more jobs, and get our country
back on track."
"Small businesses are realizing that Congressman Joe Donnelly will continue to support Obama's Washington, DC Way: increased government spending and higher taxes in the U.S. Senate,"stated Treasurer Mourdock "I support the Hoosier Way: less government spending and lower taxes, which encourages businesses to expand and jobs to be created."
On Tuesday, Treasurer Mourdock was endorsed by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana, which followed on the heels of him being endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business late last week.
