We must protect the rights of parents to select from a variety of educational options the one which best fits their goals and the needs of their children. The U.S. government should:

*Reduce the size and authority of the Department of Education
*Create an opt-out of No Child Left Behind
*Restore the responsibility of education to the states, local communities, and parents
*Balance funds available to low-income school districts
*Unleash the power of American ingenuity to design an educational system that fits student needs
*Allow the parents the freedom to choose the education they want for their children
*Expand private school choice
*Support charter schools
*Support home schooling and online charter schools, as well as their ability to be connected to a public school for extracurricular and sports options
*Expand public school choice options
*Continue to support and expand education savings accounts
