Issue Position

All across America, thousands of young people have worked hard to build a better future for themselves and their families, and yet, they are unable to fully pursue the American Dream. Wenona supports enacting the DREAM Act, a bill that provides a path to citizenship for children who were brought to this country through no fault of their own. She supports giving young people the chance to obtain legal status either by pursuing a higher education, or by serving in the U.S. armed forces. Wenona also supports guaranteeing resident students access to student financial aid regardless of the immigration status of their parents.
