U.S. Senator David Vitter today made the following statement regarding yesterday's terror attack in Burgas, Bulgaria. Forty Israeli tourists were attacked by a suicide bomber; six are reported dead, and more than thirty are injured.
"I extend my sincere condolences to the victims and families of those affected by the terrorist attacks yesterday," Vitter said. "Senseless attacks, especially on innocent civilians and children, serve as a reminder of the ongoing threat of radical terrorists. This targeted attack on Israelis affirms the need for our continued commitment to support Israel's security."
Vitter is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
