Congressman Bob Turner (NY-09) released the following statement regarding President Obama's proposal to raise taxes on small business owners.
"At a time when our country is still suffering through difficult economic times, President Obama believes it is good policy to raise taxes on nearly one million of our small businesses. His tax increase will only prolong the 3 year run of unemployment being above 8%. We cannot implement economic policies that will result in job losses. It is time for the President to stop trying to take money out of taxpayers' pockets and start focusing on getting Americans back to work."
Congressman Bob Turner represents New York's 9th Congressional district and serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, and House Committee on Homeland Security.
