House Passes Bill to Fully Repeal ObamaCare Taxes

Location: Washington, DC

On Thursday July 12th, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 6079, the Repeal Obamacare Act by a vote of 244 to 185. Congressman Jon Runyan (R-NJ) released the following statement about the passage of the Repeal Obamacare Act:

"I am pleased that the House of Representatives so quickly passed legislation to repeal this massive tax. The United States remains in one of the worst recovering economies since World War 2, and this massive middle class tax increase and raid on Medicare funding to the tune of $500 Billion will not help. We need common-sense reforms that will actually lower the health care costs. Reforms like making insurance companies compete for our business, improve access to care and empower patients and doctors to make healthcare choices."
