Congressman Lee Terry (R-NE) supported the passage of H.R. 6079, the Repeal of Obamacare Act, which passed the House by a bipartisan vote of 244-185.

"The unprecedented takeover of America's health care system, popularly known as the 'Affordable Care Act' is just the opposite -- unaffordable. This law is chock full of new taxes, increased government spending and provisions that are going to make health care more expensive.

"American's cannot afford this type of system. We deserve better. That is why I voted to repeal the bloated law today, and have done so over 30 times in the past. I will continue to vote for the law's demise until it is permanently wiped off of the books.

"The ACA does not live up to its promises. Instead, it increases the price of doing business for patients and doctors while decreasing access to quality health care. Yet, it does nothing to temper the out of control growth of health care spending.

"It is time to roll up our sleeves and work together to lower health care costs and continue to provide access to quality health care."
