Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-4) has released the following statement on USDA Disaster Designations for counties in Missouri's Fourth Congressional District:
"I want all farmers and ranchers in the Fourth Congressional District to be aware that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has classified all counties in our area as Disaster Designation Zones as a result of the devastating drought conditions that have caused crops to wither and pastures to dry up. Producers in these counties are eligible for Farm Service Agency (FSA) emergency loans. All producers who have been negatively impacted by the severe weather and need some extra assistance should contact their local FSA offices to apply for an emergency loan. It is hard to see the high toll caused by these dire conditions and I continue to pray for cooler weather and rain."
