HOMELAND SECURITY FUNDING INCREASES

Washington, Oct 19 - President Bush this week signed the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act of 2005 that passed in Congress earlier this month. The act provides much-needed funds for our Nation's homeland security activities during the coming year.

"The American people need to be assured that the government is doing everything it can to ensure our safety here at home as we continue to fight the war on terrorism abroad," Pence said. "This bill provides that assurance by providing adequate funding for our homeland security needs."
