I believe job creation happens not just through investment in physical capital, but investment in human capital. My time as a director of PUMP, a non-profit dedicated to young professionals, has taught me that people want to live and work in this region- we need to give them the opportunity to do so. We must support the creation of an innovative workforce in Pennsylvania in order to compete in the global economy.

Continue education and job training

If we want Pennsylvania to remain competitive worldwide, we need to invest in people. Working closely with businesses in our growth sectors, I want to help our residents find jobs that will strengthen the communities we live in. I strongly support the training programs that will make Pennsylvania's workers second to none.

Attract and Retain Talented Individuals

We should be doing everything in our power to make Pennsylvania the home of the best and the brightest. We should focus not exclusively on tax incentives and pro-business policies to bring companies to our region, but on policies that encourage people to come, stay, and start new businesses in the region.

Give Entrepreneurs a Place to Thrive

This region produces a large amount of talented and creative individuals. As a legislator, I want to support the entrepreneurs whose ideas and dreams have led to our region's most well-known industries and will lead to our regions next great Carnegies and Westinghouses. Investing in the creative sector is beneficial to the region: it improves our lives, supports new economies and creates jobs. From our mainstreets to our thriving downtown corridor, new businesses have the potential to make us thrive.
