Doug realizes that for Georgia to prosper, job creation and economic growth is priority number one. Doug knows that government cannot serve every need to every person and that non-directed, wasteful government is the problem. He supports free-market economy, lower taxes to spur business competition, and common-sense solutions that lower unemployment, rather than handouts that teach that it is "ok" to be unemployed.
He knows that small business development and growth is a key element to ensuring Georgia stays on the road to economic recovery. Doug will fight to remove burdensome regulations and reporting requirements for small businesses. Click on Doug's legislative initiatives page often to see progress on these and similar issues.
Doug knows that tax and spend government will harm future generations, and prevent job creation in Georgia. Doug will fight for us and have the courage to lead on important economic issues, including: ending the corporate income tax in Georgia, abolishing inventory taxes, working to reform our property tax system, and offsetting state income taxes with a consumption or "fair" tax.
