The Federation for American Immigration Reform's most recent estimates say there are 495,000 illegal immigrants in Georgia. This costs Georgia's taxpayers $1.6 billion each year. We cannot afford to continue bearing these costs. We must enforce existing laws (such as the Georgia Security/Immigration Compliance Act), and actively work to pass new strict immigration laws.
