Issue Position

America has been the world leader in the availability of quality health care provided to its citizens. At the same time, people in our district and across the country have valid concerns regarding cost and access to health care. These problems will not be solved by a nationalized healthcare system under ObamaCare. The Bill passed in 2010:

*Takes health care resources from senior citizens,
*Removes the doctor patient relationship,
*Increases taxes on small businesses, and
*Inflicts penalties on citizens through the IRS code.

In 2010, I was the first person running for Congress in Pennsylvania's Fourth Congressional District to pledge to repeal any aspect of Obamacare that was passed into law. I stand by that promise today. I will work with the new Republican Majority in Congress to ensure that health care gets reformed, but in a way that makes sense. I will follow a simple philosophy that includes repealing the bad legislation, replacing this bill with solid, common sense improvements, and reforming the health care system.
