According to FEC Quarterly Fundraising Reports released today, Bill Foster outraised Congresswoman Judy Biggert (R-Hinsdale) for the fifth straight quarter. Foster filed with more than $1.27 million cash on hand, raising more $475,000 in the fundraising period between April and June. More than half of Congresswoman Biggert's campaign contributions this quarter came from Washington Political Action Committees -- a gap among individual support that underscores Illinois families' frustration with how Congresswoman Biggert has become part of the problem in Washington.
"I am proud of what our grassroots campaign has accomplished and inspired by the support from people who share our concerns about Congress' failure to focus on creating jobs, prioritizing small businesses, and protecting Medicare for middle class families and seniors," said Bill Foster. "I hear from people every day how frustrated they are with partisan gridlock and how Congresswoman Biggert has become part of the problem in Washington. I am confident in the campaign we are building together to help put middle class families ahead of Washington special interests and Wall Street banks."
