Scott Schneider is a local small businessman who has created jobs, balanced budgets and met payrolls. Scott knows the importance of having a businessman in the state senate. He understands government does not create jobs; government needs to create a positive, pro-growth environment where businesses can thrive and put people back to work.
As a member of the Senate majority, Scott Schneider voted to reduce Indiana's tax rate on businesses - one of the highest in the nation - to make Indiana more competitive and bring new businesses and jobs to the state. He also co-authored Indiana's new Right-to-Work law, which has had a significant impact on job creation and growth in Indiana. It allows unions to organize, but prohibits unions from forcing Indiana workers to join a union to get or keep a job.
He will continue to support pro-growth policies to help Hoosier businesses and will work to create incentives for business start-ups.
