Issue Position

Protecting our land and water is one of the essential roles of government. As the Representative from FL HD 49, Joe would fight for smart growth policies that balance the needs of a growing population with the need to keep our green spaces sacred and our land and water clean. Joe believes we can do more to incentivize building up instead of out and pushing back on urban sprawl that costs us all in the long run.

The Sunshine State has the capacity to lead when it comes to clean and renewable energies. Growing industries in bio-fuels, solar and wind power are taking root in Florida and should be a priority for economic development. Growing jobs and leading the nation in green technologies can go hand in hand. Central Florida can and should be a leading voice in strategies for growth that protect our environment and are on the cutting edge of reducing greenhouse emissions and fostering sustainable energy alternatives.
