In America if you work hard and play by the rules, you should find opportunity. Joe has spent his entire professional life fighting to end discrimination and create opportunity for people in Orange County and across the state. Seven years of organizing in Tallahassee has shown Joe that we need legislators who will fight to keep the playing field level and the rules fair.
No one in Florida should ever be discriminated against because of who they are, who they love, what they look like or what language they speak. No student should ever be targeted by bullies because they're different. No person should ever be denied the opportunity for a better life.
Joe's commitment to fairness and opportunity applies to our economics and taxes as well. Billionaires and corporations should not be able to rig the game. Our laws should prioritize helping our brick and mortar businesses over out-of-state companies and should help grow small businesses, the vast majority of our job creators, before we support large corporations.
It's time that Tallahassee goes back to the basics. Fairness and opportunity are the values this country was built on, and it's time we had a representative with a history of standing and winning against discrimination and inequality.
