Scott understands the importance of a good quality education, especially in our district. Our schools are one of our greatest assets and they bring our communities together. We have to ensure that our children receive a good education if we want them to succeed in the world. That is why Scott wants to bring serious reform to our education system and make Michigan a model for the entire country - and we can do this without raising taxes by a single cent.

What Scott will fight for in Lansing:

*Protect our teachers and ensure our schools prepare our children to be successful in the competitive global economy.

*Make sure our schools receive the adequate funding they need by restoring the more than $1 billion in cuts to public education last year.

*Keep class sizes small and bring new innovative technology into the classroom.

*Prepare Michigan youth for success by ensuring our state universities, community colleges, and trade schools are affordable to students and the education they receive is globally respected.

*Create an educated and talented workforce that will propel Michigan into the competitive global economy which will attract jobs to the state.
