After serving in local government since 2002, Dale has seen how government has been reactive to issues. Dale brings a proactive mindset to local government as demonstrated by his involvement with St Joe Engineering and Highway commission to create a 10 year road plan and serving people of Granger to create a comprehensive zoning plan for the 23 corridor.
Dale has also learned there is a 70% drop out rate in our schools and that ¾ of St Joe County budget goes toward managing crime. Dale believes in being proactive, reaching out to kids before they get into the justice system through working with youth groups and also helped establish a mentoring program for kids coming out of the Juvenile Justice Center. Dale will work for economic growth as a means to help children. He believes a lack of gainful employment forces parents to work multiple jobs, which leads children without proper guidance. Dale will also strive to find alternative ways to fund schools that are successful for all kids such The Crossing through innovative means such as school vouchers.
As Representative Dale would act as a watchdog for unfunded state mandates.
