Joyce will never vote to end Medicare the way Congressman Gibbs did. Gibbs voted to turn Medicare into a voucher system that would raise premiums for seniors. Joyce refuses to sit by while Washington politicians like Congressman Bob Gibbs try to slash Social Security and Medicare benefits.
The federal government is currently prohibited from negotiating for lower prescription drug prices for Medicare patients. We are wasting millions of our tax dollars, by paying more for the very same medicines that the Veterans Administration gets for less. President Obama and Bob Gibbs both think that giveaways of taxpayer dollars to big drug companies is ok. Joyce thinks they're both wrong.
Joyce supports responsible legislation that will lower drug costs, ensure seniors' access to quality doctors and hospitals, and that keeps big insurance and drug companies in line -- without cutting the benefits that seniors have paid into through decades of hard work.
