Emken for U.S. Senate Statement on June Unemployment Report

Statement

Date: July 6, 2012
Location: Orange County, CA

Elizabeth Emken, Republican challenger for U.S. Senate in California, issued the following statement following today's June unemployment report:

"How long are we going to allow our leadership to stand by while job creation becomes an afterthought and job stagnation becomes the status quo? More importantly, how can Dianne Feinstein look at month after month of these anemic reports, with 2 million Californians still out of work and our state unemployment numbers still 30% higher than the national average, and ask voters to accept the same weak results for another 6 years?

"The numbers are stark and the solution is clear. The fiscal policies created by Democrats and promoted by Dianne Feinstein aren't working and they never will. California needs new jobs, new markets, new vision and new leadership, not more of the same from Feinstein's failed leadership."
